Welcome to the forum, Shazerac.

I have definitely been there before. I get so anxious about having to go to new pdocs. Back when my meds were working well, I was so scared of them being changed. Most doctors I've transferred to were willing to keep me on whatever I reported as working for me though. In my experience with this, it usually works out better than expected. If not, you have the option of going to a different pdoc.

Yes, each doc works differently, but sometimes not dramatically so. You may even find new things you like about your future Psychiatrist, whether it's the doc offering useful education, an interesting perspective on something, etc. Has anyone referred you to a specific doctor since the person is known to be very good? That can help you stay positive, if that is the case. I hope all goes well.
