Your hand was hurting, especially your wrist perhaps you were lyind on it or you over used it during your work.

The above quote indicates that it was indeed your hand hurting! The Reason your subconscious transposed the hurt to your mum is because you're not sympathetic to her pain and during the sleep you do not feel your own pain.
