I have found that practically anything can be swallowed without chewing. When I suffered terribly with TMD before the surgery (and some time afterwards) I came to realize that things you THINK are soft and easy to chew are not.
One of the most unusual was bread crust...soft fresh bread ... but the crust "chews " back so to speak..it doesn't give way and soften, it bounces back for another chomp
Liquids...and desserts I think is the way you'll have to go. And I hope you do go!
