So, I'm finding a beer a day keeps the doctor away, right now. Let me explain my reasoning: I began taking Seroquel as prescribed by my shrink -- once a day before bed -- and I'm finding a daily side effect that's bothering me. My heart rate is slightly elevated at all times and when I feel stressed, I'm working, or I'm just excited about a television show my heart rate increases to a pace I'd get while going on a run. I try to be mindful and bring it down but that doesn't work. Breathing techniques are currently a joke, along with muscle tension/relaxation. I'm finding the only way to lower my heart rate back to normal is to have a drink. Keep in mind, I don't do it within a two hour time frame of taking my next dose.
Does anyone here know of other ways to keep my heart rate down other than drinking? I'm not getting drunk or anything, but alcohol's expensive and something I try not to keep around the house. Anyway, thanks in advance for reading.
