Certainly if someone else might be harmed, then everything after that can become much more subjective.

The difference would first be in whether or not the one being "corrected" is willingly receptive, and then in the form or method of actual "correction". Personally, I sometimes think anyone who tries to help someone through something without having first been through the same thing might best remain at a distance.

I have always wanted to never lose access to my own mind, I remain cautious and conservative about meds for those kinds of reasons, and yes, I believe my decisions are my own and that meds can at times help while trying to make clear-and-wise decisions.

Do you agree and in what way do you try to do that?

Specializing in an illness might cause me to think I am special, but illness only makes me different or partially broken, not special...and trying to use my madness to overcome it or deal with would be (and would hold me within) madness.

Agreed if the presence or absence of psychosis is being viewed as an indicator of wellness...and please do let me know if you might believe I have just madly contradicted myself!
