If you take therapy, do you know what type?

I am reading that you have a significant problem with a lack of self-worth. OCD suggests to me you deal with catastrophic thinking too. Do you additionally experience 'performance' anxiety? These things can significantly affect and permeate our lives. They do not set us up for success.

Talk to your therapist and raise the topic of CBT. Do they think it might be helpful. They may not be trained in it or perhaps you are not seeing a therapist in the first place. Still, there are ways of helping yourself. Get yourself a book modeled on CBT - preferrably a guided workbook. Actually do the work involved - and keep doing it even once you complete the exercises. Some of these books also suggest coping skills to arm yourself with for dealing with worry and other emotions like the feel of failure, etc.
