Medication is not the cure all for ADD. I have had the help of people in my life. They let me know when I am doing something ADD related. I am then able to change the behavior. Behavior changes need to be made.

I have suffered from depression that does not respond to medication for what seems like forever. It wasn't until I got help (AGAIN) for panic attacks, OCD, depression, etc. that my doctor noticed I showed numerous ADD sypmtoms. I was on Adderal for a few months with no effects whatsoever. I am now on Straterra and waiting/hoping for something. Although Adderal is a stimulant, I believe it only works as a stimulant for those people without ADD. That is why it is so popular with college students. They use it to study and finish term papers. Or so I have been told.

Read some books about ADD. Research the illness. There is much information out there.
