I first got put on meds when I was 14 because I was hallucinating badly, very delusional, had to be pulled out of school. My parents took me to the doctor where I was referred to a child psychiatrist. Was on meds til I was in my early twenties and then I stopped suddenly because I was sick of taking them. My symptoms started to change from just psychosis to bipolar, I was being very reckless sexually and my moods were all over the place. I only noticed something was very wrong again when I started contemplating suicide, and took myself back to the doctor. I started seeing a new psychiatrist and was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and put on different meds.
