One time at lunch with family, I noticed a young lady sitting at a table alone. Her friend/relative jointed her and they greeted each other as if it had been quite a while since they had seen each other.

They individually spent the entire following hour or so with their faces staring at their phones, thumbs twitching...

They said nothing to each other.

It was really sad.

I would put the word out that you would like to have an electronic-free afternoon with someone. Make it a "thing"....
