My understanding is that it's an anti-epileptic, which works on migraines and epileptic seizures. Topamax is also, and is used for bipolar and migraines. I used Topamax from a neurologist when I was first dxed with migraines (I had one full-blown classic). The problem with Topamax is that they don't call it Dopamax or Stupamax for nothing. I became incredibly stupid when I was on it... I mean, dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks stupid... a Pop-Tart... fruit filling for brains.

But it does work.
