Well, I'm not socialist but I'll add my opinion here anyway...

Therapy's end result is to not only "make you feel better" but gives you ways to continue feeling good and thinking well about yourself.

If you have a visual mind consider a graph where the line during the week(s) you do NOT have therapy is straight, then the day you DO have therapy it dips , then after a day , it comes back up to the straight level.

Many ppl think that their life is down and the therapy session is the part that's up and then when they leave, they go down again.

Therapy IS work.. and it often needs to cause you to think about it after the session. If you find that you are incapable of functioning for a long time after session, you might be covering too much during the sessions, and need to discuss this with your therapist.
