Hello earthangel1: Well... the only thing that would be in coffee that would be helpful would be the caffeine, I would presume. Caffeine does tend to perk one up. Unfortunately, it can also keep one awake at night. So it can be a mixed blessing. I'm primarily a black tea drinker. It also has caffeine in it. I have to be careful about how much I drink, because if I drink too much I'll be awake half the night.
