A lot of good ideas. I tend to distract, distract, distract when really struggling. Music really helps to along with catching up with family/friends if possible and doing all I can to keep my mind off the bad and focus on the good. If possible I exercise or at least get outside to get some vitamin D. Organising things helps keep my mind busy and I have a finished project at the end of it that I can feel good about. I do try to mediate but when my mind is racing it is impossible. Sometimes a 30 minute lay down will recharge and refocus me too. When I was severely manic the nurses had me listen to sounds of rain or waves on my computer to try and calm me. It helped a bit.
