Someone else's issues are none of your business. No one can get empowered against their will. If your are trying to force "empowerment" down someone's throat, to offer your unsolicited analysis, it's more about fulfilling your needs than the needs of the person who clearly stated that she doesn't want her experience to be questioned. If you don't want to support people the way they want to be supported, you are entitled. In that case, just don't say anything at all. This way you'll respect your own integrity and the will of the other person.
