So my question is do you want your therapist to practice unconditional positive regard or do you want them to point out bad choices when they are negatively impact you?
Judging me for making bad choices is not acceptable, but neither is being silent about my bad choices if I am choosing to play in the street. So, do not say "You are making bad choices", but please do say "Playing in the street can be deadly."
