Who's to say being a night owl is not an adaptation in progress? One concern I have is the energy consumption, we all need to produce efficiently and let it help us see, so the next gen Tesla can work day or night, also as I said previous, night time is a good time for hiding out and hunt, it ain't one way or the other, any of you scared? I like your style! The same rustic philosopher as I'm! I congratulate you on your command of the English language! especially your command of the every day usage! We both had to adapt to a different lifestile in a strange land (without "souls") in your case. I have been luckier! In England everybody walks about with their soul barely conceiled!
Yes there are exceptions to the rule of daylight existence. Mostly by neccessity but sometimes by choice. One persons medicine is an others poison!
One exception is the werewolf! It is a tale of fantasy with a hint of thruth in it! When the full moon comes around the window at night the some humans change into werewolfs. It is all caused by the light (light=energy) waking the unfortunate person and compelling him to do dark deeds!
So you see; sunlight is even more powerful and most humans use daylight because it contains extra energy.
