Great question. Generalized anxiety disorder is a chronic and uncontrollable worry, to the point that it gets in the way of living life. It affects your ability to concentrate, to enjoy life, to have meaningful relationships, to function at work or school. . .

I think the best thing is to start realizing that most of our fears usually don't come true. Those crazy thoughts in our head are just that - crazy thoughts. It's so hard to stop these but just realizing is the best thing. Another piece of advice is getting feedback from others to see if what we fear is real or imagined. A forum like this is a great place to get feedback.
