There are lots of people out there with this fear. I don't think the specific form of the fear is something to worry too much about. What I mean is asking yourself, "why do I have this fear? It's so odd." Our fears are all unique to us and there are reasons we develop them but sometimes we're not aware when they are developing. It may not be one specific event that causes us to develop a fear but an assortment of dozens of events combined with thinking about our life and our circumstances in ways that create fears. Sometimes, it's just so subtle and gradual we don't even know it until the fear is getting in the way of life.
I would bet you probably do have fears that arise in your mind when you think about strangers knocking at the door. It might be a negative image, it might imaging negative interactions, it might just be worrying about your own anxiety about the situation. But I can guarantee tons of people have this same fear.
Best wishes,
Jason
