I am not currently seeing a therapist.
I was in therapy as a teen and loved my therapist then she left to work somewhere else so I went without therapy for a few years. Luckily I was able to find another one I liked but then my insurance quit covering visits to see him.
I had tried looking for therapist during the earlier months of this past year and had no luck. I didn't fit any of them well and didn't even like going to see them. I like therapy when I click with my therapist though.
Right now what I do have is called Peer Support. It is a person who has been through mental illness in their life and has taken classes on how to help others with mental illness. I click very well with my peer support person so maybe asking him about it might help. He is not a therapist though so I'm not sure.
I might think about looking for another therapist again when my car gets fixed and I can make it to appointments. Right now I am able to see my peer support because he comes to my house for appointments.
