I'm female. My (first and only) T is male. Not my choice--he was assigned to me. Not that I have much of a basis for comparison, but I think it's worked out well.
Except for the man-spreading. Ugh.
I'm glad having a male T has worked out for you.
ETA: I have a trauma history with males. Didn't really want a male T for that reason, but stuck with him anyway. It's been helpful. It's possible.
