Despite the adage, the customer is not always right, that's just a saying to keep the customer as a customer. But I don't know that I want customers who are a pain but then, if I just work for someone else, I guess I don't get to vote on that :-)
Sorry you have that stress in your life of a customer being a problem and being in the middle, technically not supposed to "straighten" them out and yet finding it hard to put up with them. When I worked one place my boss taught me to "take the money" :-) and that helped me in some situations.
