My pdoc prescribed Zyprexa with Zoloft to ease my depression. He axed the Invega and replaced it with Zyprexa and axed the St. John's Wort and replaced it with Zoloft. I feel better already taken a zyprexa today. I don't know if that's normal. I don't feel all the way better of course, but it's taken the edge off a little bit. I feel tired though. I'm supposed to take it at night, but I'm not doing anything today so I took it a few hours ago and my head feels funny but my depression seems a little better. He said if the Zoloft doesn't work, we will switch to Symbyax. I have a feeling Zoloft will work though. I was prescribed it for OCD with depression when I was 8, and took it up until I had a manic episode at 17. It worked. I got through my first 3 years of high school no problem. I feel like this is a step in the right direction, and my pdoc is rated the best psychiatrist in Milwaukee so I trust him. He said the Zyprexa will start working the first week and I will have to wait a few weeks for the Zoloft. I finally have some hope this depression will go away. I didn't feel depressed last night or this morning but I was with friends so that's probably why. Well hopefully this works. Wish me the best of luck!
