I couldn't put this topic anywhere else so I put it here... In other. So, well, my story is quite complex. There are family issues (exactly, my father is serving life sentence), there are horrible political climate in my country (Croatia) and living is just pretty darn expensive. So, I was actively seeking resolution to my loneliness in first place and found it, far away, in Philippines. But now, my plans are more inclined to relocate there to my (future) wife. I seen lot of Americans with low pensions retire there to have luxury life. Okay, Croatia is many levels above Philippines, but still I won't have as much as American would have. But, by researching on the internet I would just have enough to support me and my wife. I exclude kids, I am sterile (not yet, I will undergo vasectomy). So, my family is supportive. Although it is move that changes life completely and my mother is just afraid and worried something may happen to me. I am reassuring her since I am in stable remission for more than 4 years now. Yeah, I have horrible sleep problems and some sexual sides... But I am free person. And I have my income in the form of money for my child support (I am my fathers child, right?). It's not as much as 1000$, but later in life I inherit both parents pensions so I will have 1000$. For now, more like 400$.

So I am asking this kind and great community... What would you say to this plan? There are conservatives among you, there are liberals... My family was always liberal and I do not have obstacle from any of my family members or friends. But, I want to hear from you people... What do you think?

Share your thoughts and please no "doomsday scenarios", I have really invested time in researching laws and possibilities. Life IS cheaper there. And I would also buy real estate there, so rent is excluded.
