Can you have your grandma send your mom, for example, $800 and send you (separately) the remaining $200? Or will your Mom not pay your rent etc without making a profit? It sounds like your grandma might think she's too old to pay your bills for you, which means your Mom will have to do it for now unless you go the 3rd party route.
