I think you are very brave to relocate.
I would have a very lucrative career if I would move....I don't want to leave my parents as they are older and when they pass away I think I would feel so much guilt that I wasn't around to help....that I just can't relocate.

I know logically, I could be the one to pass away first...I know logically that I should be taking care of MYSELF...and in reality they don't really pay much attention to ME anyway.

But, I can't DO IT.

SO...again, I think you are brave and if you are willing and able to do this for yourself and your wife and be guilt free than go for it!

money is a very powerful motivator...and when I get in arguments with my "mother"...I then think of actually relocating!

Your father in prison for life? WTH! So, you essentially have lost him

I don't know a thing about your country...I don't know if they put people in jail for good reason or not so good reasons. I'm curious about this and I'm also curious about how a person deals with having a loved one with a life sentence!

My son went to prison for 6 months for robbery (breaking into cars) and I was devestated and could not function...if he or anyone I knew was in prison for life...I would be a MORE broken individual...I again think you have much strength.
