I could never love someone I don't trust. I don't just love people based totally on emotions. I have to like someone before I ever could love them & there is no way I like anyone I don't trust because there is no way I respect people I don't trust & for me respect is the foundation for love.

I lived 33 years in a marriage that I realized only after leaving it that there never was love because I lost respect for him the month before the wedding when I saw his true colors.
