addenda about cycling; I'm not sure how I feel about this, Fisher died, and as a result of drive-by reading I stumbled onto a little factoid that upended my understanding. I'd always believed that cycling, at the slowest was a couple weeks up and a couple weeks down, and when people wrote rapid cycling, they were talking about a day or two. So I'd always excluded the possibility and so just had ground out each swing through depression as they came, and figured I was just being normally perky otherwise.
On the upside, it'll make it pretty obvious to know whats going on, and there is something that can be done; on the downside, its a really cruddy label that regular people react to, not to mention the copy-cat kind of feel it'll have describing it.
It sure does explain a lot though... I was even looking at my house today, we'd had a storm late spring that blew down trees and did a lot of damage; I was up at the time, and did an enormous amount of non-stop work myself, saved tons in labor costs, paid off the mortgage, was 2/3rds of the way through painting the exterior..... and stopped dead cold, and just essentially slept for the next month, barely even keeping up with work. And my life is littered with intervals like that. I just thought they were normal.
Now, I just have to wait for it to dry off outside and I'll finish painting my house to the relief of the neighbors. lol.
