Think about it. Everyone thinks that just because the calendar switches over to another year means that things will change for the better.

Just look at the world around you. All the wishes, all the prayer, and all the other stuff that doesn't do a thing.

There's still injustice, unfairness, the list goes on. I long ago stopped pretending and making New Years resolutions.

I feel like a square peg in a round world surrounded by people who are all happy and celebrating tonight. I just don't get it.

Better to have no expectations because no expectations means no disappointments.
