You are not alone.
I usually have a hard time as well at New Year's but this time around has been particularly bad, feeling utterly and totally depressed and hopeless.
I'm glad that the "worst" part is over - at least I hope so. Things are bound to go back to "normal" again after this holiday season. This I know and this I try to hold on to.
It doesn't feel like this (things going back to 'normal') when you're stuck in the middle of it, I know. Are there any people you could call for support? To help you through this depressive phase until things start to lighten up again? Are there any "nice" things you could treat yourself to today and the coming days (a favourite meal, music you like etc.)
The sun is shining today where I live. I will try to take care of myself today, to meet my different needs without judgement but with self-compassion. I hope you can do the same!
