I have the same new years resolution every year , just to be alive next year to see people spend and drink recklessly only to be hungover the next day and when the credit card bill comes to wonder how they spent that much on one night ! Time is eternal we are not , it will go in with or without us and or our participation in celebration of the new year , just as our ancestors did for us we will leave monuments and marker of important events in our life and time for future people , I seriously doubt that new years eve celebrations will rate any kind of memorial to future people , they will be to busy living there lives to notice what we did during ours , unless of course they are history buffs like me , but I assure you they will be busy learning about more important events then new years eve .

No matter where you go, there you are ! Even if you just barely remember it through all the booze and drugs. If you do go out and celebrate don't drive impaired , arrive alive or the celebration loses something .
