I'm tired of getting teary eyed every time someone says "boo" to me. It's humiliating...inexplicable...and makes venturing out very hard to do.

Depression due to how it impacts the circuitry of the brain, puts you in a sustained low mood which can impact your appetite, sleep schedule, and can just give you overall fatigue. All of those factors can exacerbate your emotional responses, giving you the feeling that you're overly emotional.

There isn't anything wrong with you, nor is it anything you should be ashamed of. Most people operate under the assumption that they are responsible for all their thoughts and emotions, and personalize it even more. They then due to their anxiety believe the worst about what others will think, and the oversized amygdala will ensure negatively biased belief most likely.

The short of it is, your brain needs to recover in key areas so that it begins functioning normally again. Eat right, sleep as much as you can, exercising can make all the difference and don't be afraid to ask for help!

You got this! ((Hugs))
