Hi babkababy, I see you are a new member, welcome to psych central and the PTSD forum.
PTSD or Complex PTSD does have symptoms where the individual struggling feels very vulnerable and confused and has a hard time trusting and can have a desire to run or feel they are not worthy or would be too much of a burden. It can be very hard to explain it to others, so often "yes" a desire to want to run or be alone can happen. Someone who suffers can get overwhelmed and have a hard time explaining it to others, or even understanding it themselves.
It's very important to find a good therapist that knows how to work with trauma patients and even meet with family to explain it to family members. YES, there are situations where a wife may want to distance even though her husband is very good to her and loves her. There is a lot of guilt and shame in the challenge, but with therapy the person struggling can make gains on these symptoms.
Please know that you are welcome to vent/share/ask questions here in this forum too. Also, if you don't get an answer right away that only means other members have not had a chance to see your thread/question yet ok?
