If you live in an area with a decent population there are probably clinics that cater to low income and homeless. They usually have the word community in their name.

They will be very plugged into the community and will be able to help you or point you in the right direction. I went to one and they got me qualified for medicaid because I thought I didn't qualify when I did.

In the area where I live Catholic Charities has free counseling. My daughter made use of it for a time, we aren't Catholic and they don't push religion or anything like that if that is a concern.
