I read that they use Promethazine in parts of Europe for sedation. I don't know all that much about it except that its an effective sedative and sometimes a good alternative to low dose antipsychotics or benzodiazepines, both of which can cause problems for a lot of people.

Is it helping? That's the big thing. If you can keep your life running smoothly just on as needed Promethazine, then that could spare you heavy medication(s), which is always a good thing.
