Taking notes to your appointments is the answer. Even if it's just a couple minutes in the waiting room, I always try to lay out things that are on my mind. I keep telling myself I need to keep notes and/or a journal but I can never seem to stick to it. I always get in this rut where I feel like it's pointless to put things down on paper because they just don't make sense.
