I guess that sounded weird. When my friend said he was gay (college friend) I was asking him--what about the girlfriend he had gone out with for 6 months? He insisted they were both gay. They were soulmates because they had experienced similiar family issues but they both were 100 percent gay. For the longest time, I did not know he was gay but when he explained it, I believed him.
