I have a ruptured disc in my lumbosacral spine that impinges on the sciatic nerve. So I have some chronic pain, although it's not as bad now as it used to be. I also have Meniere's Disease & tinnitus. So I have some chronic problems related to that as well although it's not painful. (By the way, I'm 68!)

Are you familiar with PsychCentral's sister website: "NeuroTalk"? (I'm a member over there as well.) You might take a look at the boards over there too.
