Sure. Issac Newton was very difficult to deal with socially, and as far as I know he died having no real friends, but I know he died having many enemies. He was actively hostile towards people. Destroying the reputations of other scientists. Never got married. Died a virgin. However, before the age of 26, he invented calculus and discovered the laws of motion among other things we hear about less often. Obviously, something motivated him to do things and think, although he didn't seem to enjoy life as normal people do (he was very private and lonely, and had two nervous breakdowns). Still, why do different people have different views of life that makes them active in different ways and in different degrees? Why do some people find a purpose, while others don't? Why do some people enjoy life, while others don't?
