Maybe taking your meds at "night" will help you be in a better mood when you wake. If you can I suggest getting an opinion from a nerophsychiatrist.

Thank you. I believe they're going to titrate slowly up to 100 mg of the Lamictal. I felt better this morning after sleeping without help from Ativan. I was starting to think Ativan was giving me a bit of rebound anxiety the next day after taking half a pill of the smallest dose at night. Even though I'm used to the mornings/afternoons being difficult, I've noticed feeling off a day or half a day after taking a benzo.
I was the one who suggested Lamictal because I heard it's helpful with the depression side of bipolar II which I feel I've stumbled into in the past 2-3 months. I felt really motivated and got a lot done on Abilify and only stopped when I started getting akathisia and noticed extreme rapid weight gain.
There's definitely something bipolar-ish going on with me, but also some things that seem different, like not having hypomania for ten years on an SSRI until a very active/stressful time with huge insomnia. I sometimes feel if I slept just fine and have everything under control with migraine that things are kind of normal. On Lexapro 10 mg, for ten years I never felt like I was having a psychological crisis and had a deep sense that life was okay and that I was always going to be okay. That's been shaken recently and it's terrifying to have feelings/perspectives/thoughts I haven't had since 2004/2005.
How has Lamictal / Abilify been for you?
Thank you for your response.
