Well... after an attempt at Lamictal monotherapy and then rotgut suicidal depression.. time for something new. I've rejected and continue to reject Abilify.. but I've managed to get my pdoc to TRY Wellbutrin. I've had mixed episodes that led to the hospital and a house full of broken glass when trying Zoloft.... so she was tentative about trying another anti-depressant. However... I had no idea what was going on then AND Lamictal seems to really tame my agitation and tendency to fire up. So... I THINK I can recognize problems with the Wellbutrin based soley on my level of agitation and response to stress which has really stabilized since being on Lamictal. The depression sucks though. That will kill me if it keeps up. She seemed to lean more towards Latuda.. but I really wanted to try something that is weight-neutral and minimal side-effects.. as well as a tendency to shoot more for the high end of things.

So... What have been other people's experiences with bipolar depression and Wellbutrin?
