We had a good rain on Sunday night. I was doing yard work during the day....ended up falling asleep around 7PM & was woken up by a hard rain coming down & blowing into my window. Then again last night, it started raining & had been raining on & off all day today.

I had gone to Lowes yesterday to get the gutter extensions because with the new rain gutters, the rain was washing huge trenches at the down spouts. I was out side between rainstorms today, clearing out all the weeds & getting those extensions in.

We need to send you some of our rain. It's coming in from the South, so it must just be missing GA. My grass was so brown, it looked just like California. We got 6 inches a few weeks ago & the grass was still brown after that (the draught has been awful here too). This is the first time I have actually started to see green grass after this rain.

The Deer are in my backyard trying to find green grass to eat. I have those broad leaf weeds in my fenced in yard & had the gate closed. Looked out the other morning & the gate had been opened & the weeds had been eaten. Those deer were really desperate.

I hope you get some rain soon too. They say this draught is the worst it's been in 60+ years, so know what you are experiencing.

I felt bad because when I went to have my pool colsed down for the winter, I found a huge hole in the lining & the water had been leaking out all this time. I had an automatic water leveler that keep adding water.....by the tons & I didn't realize there was a hole....it was too big to be patched, but if I had known that my pool cleaner had eaten the hole out of the liner, I would have just let the pool go when I left for California in Aug.......what a waste of water....I feel guilty about that waste during the draught.....guess that's why the grass is a bit greener there for the deer to eat......but that was a huge oops.

I don't do a good rain dance, but I am full of hot air, so maybe I can blow the clouds your way....lol.
