I think that the Employer/Employee relationship is an attempt to dehumanize each other. If you see another person as just a machine that performs a certain function or functions then it is easy to criticize the process. When we fail to meet an arbitrary quota that may or may not be reasonable we are apt to receive a lecture. At the same time it is easy to make a monster of the taskmaster who for many people seems to oppress us. People regardless of position should remember that we are just people and we are subject to our own limitations and that we should recognize others limitations and adapt so that we can best cooperate and perform the tasks that puts money in our pockets.

That being said, I know what it is like to lose a source of income and that it will be hard to get back to the level of security that you should have enjoyed had you not had an unreasonable employer who from what you have written has a history of placing blame on others for his own limitations. I'm glad you have removed yourself from what I can only imagine was an unpleasant environment.

May your next job be better!
