Hello darocka! Welcome to Psych Central! It does sound like my grandmother in her old age. Her brother did that too and wrecked his truck once. It could be he can't help it and doesn't realize he's doing it. Grandma always claimed she was meditating. She eventually started having heart spells and falling, that might have been the beginning of it.
