I don't know as I have any particular ideas to offer you here. Perhaps this is simply a delayed reaction to your car accident? I know I'm sometimes awake much, or all, of the night. And most of the time I have no idea why.

It just seems to happen.
From my perspective, about the best you can do is to be sure you're eating properly, getting enough exercise, etc. & see how things go. If this continues to be a problem you may want to consider delving into what's going on with whatever mental health professionals you see or seeking some mental health services if you currently do not have them. It may be that your accident, plus the marital issues you mentioned are weighing on you without you even realizing it.
