I was totally devastated and did not have the money I needed to tend to all their needs the way I wanted, and they needed and deserved. Veterinarians demand you pay them at time of services, and going to a vet hospital can get into costing several thousand very quickly. These hospitals will "not" attend to your horse/pony unless you hand them your credit card. Well, if your credit card is already at limit and you don't have any other available funds it's horrible.
Your neighbor was evil, you are being too nice. I loved my cat like my child, more than any cat before, we connected so much. Or she had me trained so well is probably more like it. She was a stray. Came home in the car just sitting in the seat, claimed the house as her own then she turned into Hell Cat. She was running up the curtains and stilling on top of the rods, turning over plants or anything in her way while she was running wide open and she had temper tantrums. If you let her outside, on a leash and you were going to bring her in she would lay on her belly with front paws straight out and turn her head sideways with an ear to the ground. When I would try to pick her up she would slap the ground and let out this scream like I was killing her. I honestly didn't know if I could handle this little kitten, then another stray was picked up. We had to hide her in a cage because we were afraid Hell Cat would eat her or something. Plus the other stray had been tossed out a window or door and her chin was loose from the bone and it had maggots in it. Maggot eggs were all in her fur from where she groomed herself. Once she got better and used to everyone here we let her out and the two cats became best buds and the Hell Cat calmed down to a mostly normal cat. There's a picture of the two of them sleeping together in one of my albums. Hell Cat never weighed over 5 lbs, and her kitty was 12 pounds
