I don't have a psychiatrist, so I don't know what the differences are, but my therapist builds in time in his day to return phone calls. It's a very normal part of a workday for many working people to return telephone calls to people who pay them regularly. My therapist would also strongly prefer that I call for help rather than get worse.

Do you think you could look at it as a good way of taking care of yourself, and that you psychiatrist would probably rather help you early, when it's most likely to be very effective?
