Hello shanin666: Honestly... I don't know what to tell you about this. But I noticed no one had replied to your post. So I thought I would.

I don't know if you have a space in the home which is set up to be your office. Many years ago I worked with a guy who had a cubicle that was his office. People were always poking their heads in. He used to have a little red flag he would set out. And when the red flag was up, it meant he was not to be disturbed.

Perhaps what you need to do is to establish some firm time periods during which you are considered to be at work & are not to be disturbed. Perhaps put out a red flag... or a "Do Not Disturb" sign as a reminder. Your mom probably won't like it. And she'll probably try to transgress it. You're going to have to be strict about enforcing it. What this comes down to, in my mind, is establishing & enforcing personal boundaries. At least these are my thoughts with regard to your dilemma.
