I'm thinking maybe she was acting out so much because she missed her siblings. Once she got her own kitty, she had something to love like her own kitty. She still had her temper tantrums when she was displeased with something, but that was just her way of communicating and it was pretty darn funny because she thought she was a mean tiger in a small cat suit
