Yes I agree CANDC, a good yoga teacher should help us to modify. Some of those stretches can be quite difficult for many of us.
Have you tried Tai Chi hopingtrying? It can be gentler to do. Not that I am disagreeing with your detrrmination to push through, you alone will understand the capabilities of your body.

Yesterday I meant to swim but injured my hand at work and rested with ice pack instead. Today I worked then went out to visit family - had a good walk with my dad.
