Hi,
most of my live I had similar struggles with myself. But that time I had no knowledge about other genders than man/woman and always felt like just doing it wrong. I couldn't connect with either group, not with the people, but with the sense of belongig. In my puberty I stood between the groups and couldn't understand the "us" vs "them" thing, because both felt like "them" in a similar way.
I think the most "uuh you wanna be a special snowflake, you transtrenders, why are they suddenly everywhere???" thing is just.. talk. It's not that there are more of us but we have words for it and try to be no longer silence about it. (Also this binary it's more of a western thing)
And the more we connect, the more we realise that we found something we didn't know was missing.
like Elio said: If or not you are transgender is completely up to you. And talking ot someone else can help you figuring things out.
If you wanna talk to a genderqueer person in their late 20s feel free to message me.
